Forex Trading: Weekly Summary Aug 25th - 29th

Another week has passed and it has been a so-so week for me as far as forex trading is concerned.

I was trying an older strategy that I had which uses the lower time frame with bigger lot sizes (bigger risk).

Anyways, I am still not getting that strategy right.  just as yet...

As a forex trader, you need to have one good forex trading strategy.
Because I work from home and have plenty of time, I wanted to add another strategy where I can trade during the London And US sessions.

Anyway, here are my trades:

How to Trade Forex With Bollinger Band Indicator

Bollinger Bands is a chart indicator which is developed by a person named John Bollinger.

Hence the name Bollinger bands.

It is a indicator that is used to calculate the volatility of the market.

In other words, this indicator has the ability to tell traders if the market is quiet or loud.

When the market is loud, the Bollinger band expands and vice versa.

As price moves, you will see the band expand as shown in the image below.

Food!!!! is another reason why you should go to Taiwan.

The country is famous for their street vendors that sell anything from chicken shop, sausages, and desserts, shave ice, tofu and seafood.

In fact, my friends who have been there before would tell me that you won’t need to find a place to eat.

You just eat as you walk in the evening market where you can find in almost every city.

If you have to sit down, you could pack all the food and have a feast back at your hotel room.

Another attraction that you must go to in Taiwan is the Sun Moon Lake.

It is located in Tai Zhong and you can get there easily by their railway network.

Be memerized in the greenery with hills and amamzing views as you breath to the fresh air.

There is also the Aboriginal history in Taiwan which holds many surprise as you look into the history of the nation.

Then there is the Hehuashan Mountain which is also known as the ‘Switzerland of Taiwan’.

You will be able to experience living in the high ground and stop by CingJing Farm for an experience with nature and get close to cows, sheep and vast grasslands.

If you are more of a city person, you would love Taipei because it is city that buzz around the clock.

Visit the Taipei 101 tower to savor architectural brilliance and enjoy the view of Taipei city.

You will also like Xi Men Ding which is like Shibuya in Japan.

It is the most happening place in Taipei.

There will be food and you can do a lot of shopping there.

When it comes to the best souvenir you can buy from Taiwan, it has to be Tea.

They have plenty of Tea House where you can taste high quality tea and buy some back for your family and friends.

You can visit Maokong and enjoy a tea retreat up the hill at the mountainside.

Enjoy a quiet moment which will bring your mind to peace no matter what troubles you are facing with.

All and all, Taiwan is a great destination to go to for a holiday.

I will be going on a 7days 6 nights trip with my girlfriend there in this October...

How To Trade Forex Using the MACD indicator

In my previous post, I wrote about the MACD indicator and what it as about.

In this post, I am going to share with you on how you can trade forex using the MACD indicator

The MACD indicator comes with 2 moving averages with different speed.

One is faster and the other one slower.

The faster moving average will react quickly to price movement in the forex market while the slower moving average will react at a slower pace.

Whenever there us a new trend, the faster moving average will react in advance and with time, it will cross the slower moving average.

When the faster crosses the slower moving average, ‘crossover’ occurs.

As the faster moving average starts to move away, divergence occurs.

This is often used as an indication that a new trend is developing.

From the image above, you will be able to see the blue line (faster moving average) crossed under the red line (slow moving average).

What is a MACD Indicator I Forex?

One of the most commonly used indicator in Forex trading is the MACD indicator.
MACD stands for Moving Average Convergence Divergence.


It is a tool that is used to indicate a new trend.
It can be a downtrend changing into an uptrend or and uptrend changing into a downtrend.
The change of the trend is the most sought after moment for Forex trader because it is where most money can be made.

I have always been a fan of Korean food and this time, I was attracted to this restaurant because we are suppose to do BBQing on our own...

We are kind of curious on how it is going to be done.
In addition, they have octopus/squid in their menu which we don't find in other korean BBQ restaurants...

The destination is Sae Ma Eul Korean BBQ located at Solaris Mon't Kiara.

There was quite a crowd when we arrive there at a Saturday night around 8pm.

Note that parking is a problem there. 

I had to park quite far from the shop.

You can also opt to park at SohoKL.

We got our table in minutes because there was only 3 of us...

Establish food restaurants will also deliver authentic Thai food.
I remember tasting a baked fish from a stall on the side of the road...
It was so tasty, I almost finish one entire fist on my own. ( the fish was 25cm long).
And I had it for 2 nights in a row ...

Nice Beaches
We do have some of the best beaches in Malaysia but the beaches in Thailand are great too.
They get visitors all year round.
You will be able to find all sort of beach activities from jet ski to ATV driving.
Their accommodation offers a wide variety of selection.
You can choose from hotels rooms to chalet and even beach houses.
Anything from budget to luxury ..
A great location for people with any sort of budget.

What better place than Thailand to go shopping.
With so many night markets in Thailand, you can shop till you drop.
I remember walking till my legs were crumbling in Thailand.
You can find anything from branded goods to local clothing.
If you are in Bangkok, you can head to their wholesale clothing mall.
Many retail clothing shop owners head there for their stocks.


Easy to get around

Travelling around in Thailand is very easy because they have a comprehensive travelling network.
If you go to Bangkok, you will find that getting from point A to point B is pretty easy.
There are various transportation to choose from.
They have the sky train, taxi, Subway and their famoud Tuk Tuk..
For taxis, just remember to ask if they charge by meter. If they don’t, say thank you and hail the next cab.
For Tuk tuk, makes you you haggle the price with them. Basically, you can get to anywhere within the city for around 100 Baht.


So, if you want an exciting holiday filled with shopping, culture, food and fun, You can strongly consider Thailand...

Forex Trading: Weekly Trading Summary

Its Saturday today and the only thing I am looking forward today is the game between Arsenal VS Everton...

Our team got whoop lat time at Goodison Park and I am really hoping that Arsenal can prove the pundits and doubters wrong this year... and be genuine Title contenders and not just a club battling for top 4...

So, back to forex..
Last week  I didn't post any summary of my trades... because I was busy as my GF's mum as in town...
(besides, I am a bit lazy to do it now..)
But after a nice lunch, I decided to update on my trading results this past week.

Forex Trading: Fundamental Analysis

Fundamental analysis is widely used in Forex and it is an analysis method that involves the study of economic matters of countries to determine the effect that is will cause to the value of the currency.

A rainy Tuesday and it is already 1pm and I am so hungry but still waiting for Gf and her sister to wake up...
Eventually, we set off at around 2pm to look for a place to eat..

Forex - EUR/USD weekly outlook: August 18 - 22Euro pushes higher against dollar
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.3400 late Friday and ended the week little changed.

The pair is likely to find support at 1.3347, Thursday’s low and an almost nine month trough and resistance at the 1.3450 level.

It is a beautiful Thursday and we are looking for a new place to eat...

As always, we are interested to try out new cafe or restaurant and for a late breakfast or brunch, what better place than to head to cafes..

I was lazy to drive far today due to intense futsal  the previous night, so we decided to head near to the Touche @ SS17, PJ

It is located  in Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya. At the 2 rows of shops opposite Tiara Damansara Condominium.

We went there at about noon and the place was pretty crowded with people having their lunch. 

Most of them are working in offices nearby i guess, based on their attire.

We were the only people dress in shorts and t-shirts...

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the restaurant was the Air-con is so COLD....

Maybe because i was wearing a singlet top...  :)

All Pesto Chicken Spaghetti

 Overall, the food was great.

The Spaghetti was filled with the pesto leaves..
I had to rinse my mouth several times to get ris of them from my teeth.

The sandwich was also nice with lots of meat but you won't feel sick of it because it is combined nicely with a lot of vegetables...

But ultimately, they are well known for their pastries... but i am not a fan of pastries...

Baclays Premier League Live Streaming

I am a big fan of Arsenal FC and the new season is kicking off in this coming weekend.
We are up against Crystal Palace and I am looking forward to see the Arsenal players in action...

I normally watch football via the internet because I did not install ASTRO in my place...

A good broker will be like a good business partner and will be able to provide you with good servcie for a long time.

This is beneficial for both parties because brokers also needs traders in order to stay in the game.

Go Kart @ Cyberjaya

Its is the weekend and it is time to relax and have a little bit of fun.

This week, my friend invited me to join them in their go-kart session at Cyberjaya.

The track is located just beside Kelab Komunity Taman Tasik Cyberjaya 

Look it up on Waze or Google map... it is very easys to go there..

Took me 30 minutes from Petaling Jaya (with some traffic jams)
